British gas smart meter not working after power cut

We had a power cut on thursday for over an hour, when it all came back on the smart meter is not connecting.
On the display it says 'connecting to smart meter'.
If I go to the display settings it says it is connected to meter network, but it says gas and electric meter not connected.
British gas helpline not help at all.
Any ideas if anything I can do?

Thanks!

So it's just the In-House-Display that is not connecting.
Try unpluggging it, then plugging it back in closer to the electricity meter. If it then connects, unplug it and plug it back in where you normally have it.

Thanks, even though it says gas /elec meter not connected?
I have tried unplugging it and restarting, now I've put it on batteries and placed it next to elec meter, but still same issue..

Check that the meters are still sending their readings to the DCC and then British Gas, assuming they were before the power cut.
You could go to n3rgy.com and register there to download your data, or try the BRIGHT app on a smartphone.
It could be that the power outage has somehow broken the pairing between the IHD and the meters. AFAIK, only a supplier engineer can restore that.
