probate frustration nobody answers the phone or responds to the chatline

I applied online and it has been 6 months since i applied for probate, a very straightforward case my mom had minimal savings used for her funeral, no valuable assets other than our family home, the market value would be about £250,000. So applied online got an email back in October asking for further details, saying this wasn't an expected estate, I had no idea what "expected estate" was, and why would I, but researched found out, and went back with the details they asked for, not heard anything since, I phone and the last time i was holding for about 1hour, the chatline doesn't appear to work, its so frustrating. There is a will i sent by recorded delivery, have tracked it there is a signature, but no confirmation of receipt, where do i go now, its just not acceptable. I seem to be having problems with the threads on this site, don't know what I am doing wrong, but no reply button on the thread, again researched why this is happening, and tried all suggested but still no joy, help................
