SheildPay - Payment Faciltity

Has anyone come across these facility before? There is an old post in the motoring forum from 7 months ago which didn't really get much traction.
I was part of the WV claim and had Charles Lyndon carry the case for me.
I received an email saying the case had been settled and I would receive and email from SheildPay to facilitate the payment.
Sure enough I got said email. So following the link it then asks you to confirm you bank details, but logging into your online app to do that.
I've done this before without a 2nd thought for a couple of payments I've made on my NW CC account, but not this way round so a little nervous, but have found they are registered on the https://register.fca.org.uk/s/firm?id=001b000003ekbGhAAI.
They appear to have what looks like a lot of legitimite reviews https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.shieldpay.com
They are on the https://www.direct.id/ website as well as a provider using the service.
If it is a con, it's a long one as I registered back in March 2021 for the case, and they tried to kick me out at one stage saying my car was not subject to the failures. I proved it had the correct engine in it, and with this proof they took it back on.
I'm going to try and call the solicitors on Monday to make sure they did send the initial email, but all the emails address look genuine compared to the normal phishing ones.
To protect myself against what could be a scam, I can use an empty donor/switching account, change passwords and make the confirmation from a vanilla machine with no sync'd Chrome or any browsing history.
As you can see I've pretty much convinced myself this is genuine, if Direct.ID really takes off this would probably be a normal process in years to come.
Clearly I want to trust it, as I'd like my money and if they are registered on the FCA website is that proof enough they are legitimate?

If it's spelt SheildPay I can pretty much guarantee it's hooky.1

Had a similar email from Keller Postman for the same kind of claim. Called bank and they told me not to use the link or give out anything other than sort code and account number. It does seem genuine as have had emails from them previously and it does look legit but very wary. Debating opening an account for the purpose.

Did anyone progress with this? I’m worried I might have made a big mistake - I used my phone to click through the link. Used an old bank account with no money in but scared they might be able to get other details if it was a scam0

I went through with it, and received the funds into my account within a few days. 2 months later the funds are still there and the account has not been attacked.0
