Does a delayed luggage claim affect travel insurance premium?

Flew with British Airways from UK to Valencia. Checked in a suitcase which has not arrived here in Valencia. Now on Day 2 and with only one flight a day, it may arrive on Day 3 or when I’m back home. Hoping its not lost as I was the only passenger with a missing luggage on my flight.

I have purchased essential toiletries and two jumpers (still wearing same jeans, socks & shoes I left home with) assuming my luggage wld have arrived by now. I’m now minded to buy nightwear and change of trousers.

BA’s website suggests customers may be better off claiming expenses via travel insurance. Would such a claim affect my travel insurance premiums when it’s due for renewal later this year?

To paraphrase slightly, they would say that, wouldn’t they?
I would expect an insurer to ask whether you’d done everything you could to claim from the airport or airline or whoever is responsible first,  before they would consider paying out. Have you checked the lost luggage terms and conditions on your policy? And is there an excess which would make the claim not really worthwhile?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Thanks elsien. I’ve only checked if my insurance included luggage cover; will check if there’s an excess payable.

Do keep hoping, Quantas lost our luggage for about five days when we arrived in Sydney, did turn up eventually.
