Share transfer to Spouse - Interactive Investor trading account

I'm looking to transfer my LTI shares held in Equate Plus to my Wife's Interactive Investor trading account to utilise her CGT allowance this year (mine is fully utilisesd).  From speaking ith Equate Plus today I cannot transfer to her directly so I am in the process of transferring to my II trading account.

Once this is done is is straightforward to transfer between mine and hers II trading account?  I've sent a message to II on how to go about this but interested in any experience on this forum as want to make sure the transfer goes through this tax year.

I've never done it, but they do appear to allow you to transfer shares to someone who has the same address as yourself - see  https://www.ii.co.uk/help/adding-and-withdrawing-cash/adding-cash/internal-transfers . But I'd want confirmation from ii that the way it's done means that you don't get clobbered for CGT - e.g. a really rubbish transfer process could just sell your funds and then rebuy on the new account but not charge you any buy/sell costs.

If the sell/buy happens within 30 days is this a problem?

I am in the same position - has anyone managed to arrange a spouse transfer with II?

Jarvis X-O used to do this for £18 a time - and they were a lean and mean outfit, so it would be disappointing if II can't do the same.

I am sure I managed the internal transfer when I did this.  No longer needed for me now since I use the Flex ISA to sell all of my SAYE maturing in my name as replenish the ISA when sold £20k of shares.  Feels wrong, and expect that flexibility to be closed, but a great well of liquidating SAYE schemes with no CGT.

My wife transferred fund units (an HSBC index fund) from her ii Trading account to mine last month. We used the website function for doing it, and the transfer went through immediately. There were no charges. Easy peasy.

Just carried out a transfer to the Mrs. You both have to be at the same address.

Under the Portfolio tab select Transfers.

On the Transfers tab select Internal stock transfers.

    5 min job.
