Outbuilding fridge freezer

Options
After the cold spell in december my 17.5 year old F/F that is in a unheated extension.  Decided to defrost its self.  I now need a new one as I can't trust it to keep the temp correct.  So have been looking on line it seems hard to find any and they all seem to be beko brand.  I am not sure if there any others out there.
Most companies searches don't allow for the choice of suitable for out buildings!!!! Any ideas

We looked into this a while back. I don't think you will get a combined fridge / freezer that will operate in cold temperatures - there;s a technical reason for it that I can't fully remember, but I seem to recall is something to do with when the external temperature drops below the usual operating temperature of the fridge part, which causes both parts to stop working.
Beko were also the only freezer manufacturer that we found that stated that their freezers would operate in temperatures as low as might be reached in an outbuilding in winter - that's who we went with and it's worked very well in the five or so years we;ve had it, even during the recent cold spell.
<Edit> looks like Beko have now got round any problem of running a fridge / freezer in very cold temeratures and do supply them

Had the same problem many years ago and had to buy Beko.  Had no problem with my Beko fridge freezer.

Beko do say not to run the fridge at -15!!! not sure how that works on a FF LOL!!!!. It does not get that cold in the extension but to probably between 5-8 degrees. I just want to cover all my bases and get something that be used in colder temps.

Its looks like its a beko.  Bye bye bosch!!!!

Have a look at some of the comments on Beko facebook posts. I have a beko dishwasher and never again, the customer service is a shocking shambles.
My dishwasher stopped emptying and the app said contact service department….. one hour and no answer and then cut off, call back spoke to someone after hanging on for 45 minutes, need to transfer me to service dept ….. cut me off. Call back and spoke to service dept who said can’t you just lay towels down to soak up the flooded water on your kitchen floor and empty the rest out of the machine with a teacup ! When I then said it’s under warranty so I want it fixing I was told to not hold my breath as an engineer will take weeks.

After bugging them daily on messenger, I got an engineer after 10 days who had to replace the pump.

I also have a beko fridge freezer which is crap. To have the fridge cold enough everything in the salad drawer freezes, to turn it down enough for the salad drawer not to freeze, makes the rest of the fridge dangerously warm  🤷🏻‍♀️

Avoid Beko is my advice unless you never have to contact them.

I also was very wary of Beko but had no option as our garage in winter will be in minus degrees and have had no problems with my fridge freezer and even if I did now, as I’ve had 6 years problem free on an item that is relatively of the cheaper brands I would buy another.

I also thought that as they were of the cheaper brands that I wasn’t expecting too much but for £600 for a dishwasher, I didn’t consider that cheap.
Glad you are happy with them though, personally I will avoid now at all costs.

We got a Beko freezer as they are one of the only ones who state they will work in outbuildings. Its been in our garage for 18 months and the only issue is some condensation on the top.

I've run a fridge/freezer successfully in an outside detached garage for 22 years!

It was my Dad's old unit and he died in 2000. So it was probably manufactured in the 90s if not the 80s.

Did they use a different refrigerant back then?
