Smart parking ticket

I received a parking fine for being 12 minutes over the free 45 minute parking time at angouleme way retail park.
My little 4 year old boy was being sick in a shop I was shopping in on the retail park. Hence my delay in returning to the car on time.
They are now requesting £100 payment (I haven’t appealed yet) but I was hoping someone more knowledgeable than me could advise if I should pay?

No of course you dont pay !
Just use the appeal in the quote below. Make sure on the smart parking website you click through to the end.
The appeal text will win and thats itthis is an appeal by the registered keeper - No driver details will be given. Please do NOT try the usual Group Nexus Trick of asking for driver details in order to get around the fact your NTK does not comply with POFA. As there is no keeper liability then liability cannot flow from the driver to the keeper and thus is an auto win @ POPLA. Please therefore cancel the notice or issue a POPLA code where you will auto withdrawAdvocate in the County Court dealing with a variety of cases, attending the courts in the North East and North Yorkshire2 -
Plan A is always a complaint to the landowner or retail park manager/CEO and your MP.
If that doesn't work, then appeal as advised by Grizebeck, but make absolutely sure in your complaints and appeal that the driver's identity is never revealed. Everything must be done by the keeper who may or may not have been an occupant of the vehicle.I married my cousin. The OP doesn't appear to have read NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST and doesn't know why they must appeal as registered keeper.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I read as much as I could, sorry!
Thanks to you all, much appreciated0 -
No criticism, just a 'heads up' to do it right and what to read first. As long as you now know the importance of not appealing as driver, you'll win!
It was just that your first post looked like you were thinking of appealing as driver about the story of what happened = a complete NONO for private PCNs from Smart Parking, who are a cinch for a keeper to beat.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
