Mastercard priceless refunds

in Credit cards
Hi! Can anyone help with some advice please? I bought 2 tickets to the theatre through the London theatres and Mastercard priceless promo but cannot go because I live in the south and the trains are on strike that day. Can anyone tell me if I can get a refund through my credit card on these? The small print on the tickets say you cannot exchange or refund them through London theatres but I’m not sure where I stand with the fact I bought with credit card? Have tried to contact Mastercard priceless by email but no response and the telephone number is for the Bahamas!!! Thanks

No. There's no breach of contract.1

The event is still going ahead. How you (can or cannot) get there is outside of the agreement between you and the event / Mastercard.

As above, there is no Section 75 claim since the theatre have not breached their contract with you.In terms of getting to the event, would driving be an option? Or else one of those inter-city bus services like MegaBus or whatever?1

You have no right to a refund - your best bet is to reach out to Mastercard directly and ask politely if there's any way they can help. I'd use the Facebook or Twitter links if I were you:Don't be surprised or offended if they can't offer you anything, if you have a travel insurance policy you might want to check if that covers you, and failing that just chalk it up to experience.

Drive to an out of city tube station is what I've done in the past.0
