Ive got a guy interested an item I have for sale on Facebook, he would like me to post it to him, I obviously give him paypal address to send the money to and send the item to the address for his paypal (thats listed for his account ), not had to post anything before Ive sold on Marketplace
Its low value but I'll get it insured.

Not sure what the question is?
You seem to know what you are going to do.
I would neither sell nor buy on Facebook because there have been so any tales on here and elsewhere of people being scammed that it just doesn't seem worth it.
But if you are confident about this sale, then that's fine. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Either make him pay by friends and family PayPal or make sure you add tracking into paypal. I would maybe ask bacs . Send him photo of proof of posting .
i have purchased like this myself but there are scams so be carefulIf you don’t like a thread or post just move on by.
Never a need to be ugly1 -
Most buyers and sellers on Facebook would then assume OP is a scammer, as asking for f and f or a bank transfer is what they do. Your other suggestion is the way forward, accept PayPal only send to that address and keep your POP for 180 days. Standard parcels cover you up to £20 now and have proof of delivery which satisfies an INR claim, however if the item is over that in value then look online for RM48 as that gives £100 insured value for eligible goods with some tracking and proof of delivery.Moogles44 said:Either make him pay by friends and family PayPal or make sure you add tracking into paypal.
