Ohh nasty! Is that on top of the netting? Have they got caught in it? It doesn't look like the sort to get tangled in.On thought occours, have they come into contact with something poisonous and tried to get into the water to wash it offHow long since you checked the pond. Could they have got frozen to the netting then died of the cold? They look like they've been dead awhile.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Are there stones in the pond for things to get in and out?
Like hedgehogs and frogs.
Frogs need air. If they hopped in and couldn't get out they would eventually drown or freeze if very cold.
I've got a terracotta bowl that I treated the inside with pond paint and it got half full of rainwater. A young frog got in chassing mossie larva and couldn't get out. It was lucky i saw it struggling. I've put a couple of large stones in now.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Could it just be from the cold snap? Frogs do sometimes die in frozen ponds, especially if the whole pond freezes down to the bottom, but sometimes even when it hasn't.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.
