C1 Confirmation Inventory Numbering

Probate/confirmation forms are not an examination in form filling. You dont get a demerit if you fill it in wrongly. SImply use common sense to provide the required information. For assets you can put a large number of low value things in as a single item. eg household furniture £500. If the deceased owned say 100 houses scattered around the country you could have an entry of "100 houses, a full list is attached - £20M".0

Hi, Thanks for the response - i just don't want it being bounced because of something stupid.
And actually I was reffering to the page number to put in the box where it say page 3 to <another number>. As I need to use the form C2 to finish up the inventory, it is not clear to me what that number should be as pages 4 and 5 are the other parts of the document. I suppose page 6 (which doesn't make sense to me).0 -
As long as the information is clear and complete in the essential details I dont believe it matters how you fill it in. I cant see it being thrown out for a trivial reason. When I filled in a probate form I used the "see attached for full details" method.ptolemy said:Hi, Thanks for the response - i just don't want it being bounced because of something stupid.

ptolemy said:A bit of a silly question. At Q5. 'That the inventory (on pages 3 to'. But 3 to what? as 4 and 5 are part of the document and there isn't enough space to put c2/1.
How you are meant to reference the use of supplementary C2 pages as an appendix is not stated in the guidance. There are also browser functionality issues with the form.
One suggestion - If you are able to edit the pdf document you could change the text to read, for example ‘on page 3 and on pages C2/1 to C2/2 of the appendix’.
Another suggestion - Use the form version which combines C1 and C2, (which potentially has 7 pages available for the inventory) and change the numbering of the final two pages as appropriate.

My solicitor used the term 'on page apart'.0

Not silly at all, I found the same - no space to write C2/1, even though the guidance notes suggest that format. I did as buddy9 mentions above and used the combined C1/C2.ptolemy said:A bit of a silly question. At Q5. 'That the inventory (on pages 3 to'. Do you possibly have a link for the combined C1/C2 form as I am now filling in the form digitally and having the same issue. Thanks very much0

It is available at

An arrangement similar to that mentioned by Gers above is another option. This is where the inventory is completed wholly as an appendix and para 5 is marked as referring to ‘a paper apart’1 -
Thanks so much again Buudy9 - you have been an invaluable help to me through this process0
