Keeping warm

Invest in some salopettes (ski pants) if like me you have arthritic knees and need to keep your legs warm.

Last year on a fix we reduced energy use and went a bit far to be honest. Electric blankets and no heat on overnight leading to cold mornings where it never seemed to catch up with warmth.

This year we joined Octopus and tracker and sit comfortably with every room at 21oC

Expected total energy bill of £1400 this year.....bargain

We now have 3 people working from home in various parts of the house and a.stand alone outside office and gym building.

  • one of the best thing we purchased was a wood burner (even better with free wood available) keeps the house nice and toasty. When needed we will run the central heating (tado system with tado trv's) just to help give the house/room a quick warmth boost.
