takes 6-8 hours for food to get through your stomach and to your intestines (where farts are born) so yes. the temp increase caused by the spices will have dropped before the gas is getting near the exit.

(i had this conversation with my delightful children when they were younger and watching a cartoon about farting flame :D)

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

After using oven. Leave door open as it them heats Kitchen.

Ironing. Who the heck does that. Total waste of time, money & effort.
It heats the kitchen even if I don't leave the door open, but then again, the last time I used the oven was over a year ago 🤣
Pretty much everything goes in the air fryer now, which from March onwards typically runs on solar energy.

When I have a shower, letting the water go down the drain is actually more efficient for me, as the waste water pre-warms the cold water entering the shower. I do eventually want to get a heat pump hot water tank though as that will be more efficient and can even power it from solar.

Ironing I agree with, hang out the washing then hang and put away. Not done ironing in years 😁

If you can afford it, a home battery storage solution and solar panels are definitely worth it. Even in the winter, you can top up the batteries from cheap overnight energy. I want to get an air-to-air heat pump too, some only require 400W which can powered via solar - I actually found one that worked off 12V which would be perfect.
