Employing your own child as an apprentice

Is it possible to employ my child who is 17 and studying A'levels into an apprenticeship scheme within my own limited company? I cant find any such restriction preventing this. I just want to give my child a good start into the professional life and her studies match my company work too. Many thanks in advance.

Hi, there doesn't seem to be any reason why you can't do this. As long as you (like everything else in life!) follow the rules. Here's some government information -

And if you need more help and information there's this link -

Just because your apprentice is your daughter shouldn't make a difference - as long as everything is done by the book.
I think it's great that you have such a good opportunity to help your daughter.
