RAC are an intermediary rather than an insurer when it comes to Home. The first thing to check would be what claims handling they do, if any, -v- the actual insurer. With mediated insurance two people can have very different claims experiences depending on which insurer on the panel is underwriting their particular policy if the insurers do all the claims handling1
