Hi everyone,
Coxy, why don't you ask when the last one was and then say that you don't want another because of the exposure to the x-rays.
I still haven't taken the decs down but today is the day, the cleaner is coming on Thursday so I want the house clear for her. Yesterday I washed the fabric items to put away. I also cleaned the bathrooms, sanitised the in bath mat and cleaned out the cupboard where the everyday glasses, the mugs and various teas and coffees live. Not much coffee because no-one really drinks it but we had a number of out of date teas, mostly picked up by L and B on their trips to India and Sri Lanka before they were married (seven years ago). I also pruned some glasses and mugs to make room for new glasses we bought the other day - the old ones will go up to the Yorkshire house so not wasted.
I have almost finished the jigsaw I was given, I must do the sky next, I hate ending on a sky. I never do the edges first either, it's such a waste of time searching through the pieces. I know, I know, I sound like a crazy woman.
Hugs to all the poorlies, Mehefin, if you can, poke your head in, I felt quite worried about you yesterday.
Have a good day.11 -
Happy Birthday to your DGD @dp1 xx
No x-rays or cleaning/scraping for me - dentist said x-rays were done in July so ONLY £35 to pay! Feels like a win!

Morning all DH/DS rained off work, the brickies have been & had a look, raining too hard so they're getting even more behind after the 2 weeks before Xmas snow/iced up. Self employed so they'll not be happy with no work for nearly a month
The good thing is he's gone to pick up my new washer!
About 11 last night DS went out to his car to put frost shields on the windscreen, temp dropped so quickly, I helped and the road was lethal so he moved DH van further away from the bend as people come racing down then skid as they slow down, been hit twice before now.Dp1, 4 already! I hope she has a lovely party, she deserves it.Quiet day yesterday, and the house back to pre Xmas levels. After putting the stuff back in the loft, I am determined to get rid of some of the cr*p up there!I hope you all have a good day & lurgies improving x

Hello all, we're back to rain again, but on the plus side it isn't snow or we'd been under 10ft by now ! I didn't have a very good night with bouts of coughing so I slept late and would still be there if a delivery man hadn't knocked the door.
I got all the washing done yesterday but I had to have the heating on to dry it as I didn't want that amount of wet clothes hanging around for days. Today I want to put the dry clothes away then I need to tidy up and put things in their correct places as Mr Fix It kindly took things upstairs after xmas but then just left them on the day bed as he couldn't remember where they lived 🙄. I must also find my small holdall or I shall be carrying my overnight things in a sm carrier bag when I go away with DD on Thursday !
dp1 happy 4th birthday to little DGD. Keep me some jelly and ice cream please 🍨😁
RedRuby I hope you are resting and recovering well.
Many hugs to the poorly ones and anyone else in need.
Take care all

Happy birthday to DP1's little one - four years has just flown by. I've so enjoyed reading about her exploits, she's a wee spark to keep going despite her health woes.TA - it's good to hear that you're feeling better.Coxy - definitely a win!Mehefin - fingers crossed that you get a diagnosis from the X-ray.Nan - hugs to you.Rosy - I hope that the men can get back out to work soon.Snoozer - what a whirlwind you've been.I've got the washing all on the airer and bannister now. Airer is in a room with the dehumidifier on. When I was up there I pulled out a load of stuff from the bottom of the wardrobe, most of which is now lying on the floor. I brought some things downstairs with me to deal with so it's a start. I'll soon get fed up with the stuff on the floor spoiling my new room so it'll get sorted when I next go upstairs.10

Afternoon all. After yesterday's lovely sunshine we had a very frosty night - it looked like snow - and today we're back to the usual grey skies and rain. Feeling chilly too.
Last night's beef casserole was very tasty and there was enough left over to freeze for another day. Tonight we're having fishcake, chips and peas. We seem to have a lot of milk to use up before it goes off, so I've used some to make custard to go with what's left of the fresh fruit (tonight's pudding sorted) and we've also had an all-milk cup of coffee this afternoon. We don't drink coffee very often so it made a nice change with a piece of hm carrot cake.
I'm finding it hard to get back to normal after the festivities and haven't really got my teeth into anything as yet - more like little pottering jobs - maybe next week! There's not quite enough in the laundry basket to make up a full load but it can wait as there's no chance of it being hung outside this week. I've managed to give the cutlery drawer a clean out though; nothing to be disposed of (I think I did that last year) but at least now it's clean and tidy again.
Happy birthday dp1 Little One. Virtual hugs to the poorlies out there and anyone else needing one. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.7
