Canon Printer will not print Hotmail messages

Hi,
I have very recently bought a Canon Pixma iP4300 printer.
It will not print messages off Hotmail.
I have tried every way that I know using the Canon toolbar, using the 'File' icon, right clicking etc.
I finally get a error message with a code CJSPL86.DLL and the page closes. I have tried this code in google but no matches.
I have contacted Canon who state that as it would appear to be a problem with Hotmail (the shop from which i bought the printer also agrees)
I have contacted Hotmail but as yet have had no reply.
At present, the only way for me to print a meesage off Hotmail with this printer is to copy and paste the text into word.
Can anyone please help?
