Never heard of home bargains but I like Asda loo roll.

Well worth having a look to see if there is one near you as we find them very good value for toiletrie in general...

I think Home Bargains is brilliant for many things, on a par with B&M and is what Poundland could have been.
Typical, not one near me or B&’m 🥲

I like Asda Shades too and used to buy it before I found Nicky Elite.

I like those too but not happy about the Jumbo rolls they have changed to, feel like I am getting conned, They are a bit tight on the toilet roll holder too.

Well the good news is by doubling the capacity of the rolls they are saving the world ...
"Our Asda Shades toilet rolls have moved to double roll with twice as many sheets per roll and the same great trusted quality. By making this change we are keeping over 1000 lorries off the roads and saving over 700,000kg in cardboard tubes"
... and so saving themselves loads of money.
    The bad news is ...
You are paying the same price as before and most customers hate them (29 of the last 50 reviews on asda groceries website give 1 star)..

     Filtered Milk.

Asda today £1-46 per L purchased.

Sainsbury today listed at £1-90 per 2l  =95p per L
Online at least Asda's own label filtered milk is only sold in 2L bottles and is £1.85? It's Cravendale 1L that's £1.45 (compared to Sainsbury's price £1.60.

Also, Asda Shades Balm Tissues twin pack £3 purchased today.

Out of 4 boxes, 2 twin packs, 4 yes 4 boxes where 1/2 EMPTY.  Pos to almost SINK INDEX FINGER TO 2nd knuckle.

Aren't boxes of tissues measured in the number of tissues rather than by volume ?
Are you implying that they've reduced the number of tissues in a box or that the boxes don't contain the number of tissues that they say they shoudl on the outside of the box ?
Personally I generally like to see a bit of empty space at the top of the tissue box so that yiou can easily pull the first few out without tearing them

Comparing Asda and Lidl tissues, the smaller quanity is in the bigger box.
