I'm a bit wary of open banking, no real reason other than it feels quite uncomfortable to see all my accounts in one place."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3

I also don't do it - because part of the point of having separate accounts is a) it spreads the risk and b) having my £ more dispersed helps me not feel I have £ the same... and theoretically at least reduces what I spend.jwil said:I'm a bit wary of open banking, no real reason other than it feels quite uncomfortable to see all my accounts in one place.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Reasons to be cheerful:
1. DH and much loved dog to nurse me.
2. Jabbed so while I have Covid I'm not heading for hospital or even feeling too poorly. A bad cold really.
3. Finances under control.
4. Can put on heating at will.
5. Lots of loved ones.
6. An interesting life.
Love to all Humdinger xx7 -
All good wishes for a speedy recovery.
F xx2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!4 -
Speedy recovery and. if you can enjoy being ill (I watch trashy TV and often joke it is a sign I am ill)Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!3 -
Hope you recover quickly x"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

Thanks @jwil, I'm on the mend I think. Did the meeting with care agency for mum via video. Plan in place and feel confident that she has what she needs. My stepdad is having surgery on Friday and I hope to go up on Saturday, provided I test negative. Love to all Humdinger xx6
