How on earth do you get to see all your passwords in one place with red ticks or other notations?? Sounds really useful! Is that just a Mac thing?

No, its just that this one is free for us '@pple users.  I started using one at work recently (windows) - IT provide us with a few options and its made life so much easier.  Took a little while to get all my passwords (from various places) onto it and updated to secure ones, but it saves so much time and stress now it was more than worth it. I would describe it as like a card index system, and I like that you can have a 'card' for anything e.g. a door code (but of course you'd have to look that up and enter it manually )

My free @pple one syncs across all the '@pple products, but there are plenty of others around.  Google/Chrome have an online one and I've got a few passwords saved on there (out of laziness) - however a quick look online seems to say the security isn't as good as others, so I'm looking forward to getting those changed.
    .
I think if you have a paid for password manager you get more features, so I'll see how I go with the free version.  But if you want to find out a bit more take a look on the National Cyber Security Centre

Oh that’s interesting … 🤔 I’m typing on an iPad so maybe I could use this system. Is it called anything (like an app) or should I look in settings or some such?

Insurance sorted.  Paid over the odds to update my current insurance rather than going through the process of changing but I just feel sometimes you need to take the easy road.  Next time I will be shopping around though.

Need to continue with password tidying (then onto emails).

I think its just in settings @KajiKita I can't remember setting it up - it feels like it has always been there in the background Password Manager.

I've been working through the 'compromised passwords' and almost half-way through.  Some of the websites don't exist any longer, they are pretty old.  The important ones have been changed.  Once that's done I'll delete the g00gle/chr0me ones too - although I opened and got rid of the three 'compromised' ones I'd saved on there straight away.  I keep loads of passwords on phone notes too which isn't ideal - really looking forward to getting rid of those and wish I'd done this ages ago.  Its an easy task to do while watching TV.

Well, password updating on apple password manager almost done.  I think there were around 250 stored and 150 needing attention and I've nearly done them all.  Just a few are more difficult than others - the easiest way is to just to use forgot password and sort out closing them at a later date.

I've also deleted all passwords from g00gle and I've deleted most from my phone notes - just a few odd ones one there that aren't worth putting onto the password manager.   I was wondering why so many were 'compromised' and 'appeared in the dark web', quick search and it doesn't mean your accounts have been hacked but it makes it easier for someone to.  That's one less thing to worry about, although you need to check regularly, and quite a few of mine say 'easily guessed' or 'reused password' so its going to be ongoing.

    To Do List:
    • old computers need data removing and selling or recycling
    • Also a detox of current computer and emails, desktop and files etc. (and regularly check passwords)
    • Boxes required for kitchen plastics etc. (I'd prefer not to buy anything so am looking out for boxes/crates)
Sorting out the office and found a couple of large shoe boxes for the kitchen which will do for now while I keep any eye out for some kind of crates.

Quick update of my seven goals, will polish them up later:

    1. Financial - on track

        (b) Paying for the car
        (c) Regular savings account set up for personal fun stuff
        (d) Fingers crossed for the PBs (our EF) - nothing this month sadly.

    2. Physical Health / Fitness*

        (b) Keep improving sleep hygiene - relaxing, mindfulness, yoga.
        (c) Focus on Eating healthily and being fabulous
        (d) Get fit for the activity weekend I'm saving for in (c) above.

    3. Family/healthy work-life balance
        (a) Its definitely less stressful at work since I spoke up

        (c) Continue making space for family time and activities.

        (b) Longer term interest and potential career change or learning route
        (c) Include reading (from 6c)
        (d) Lots of mini courses at work esp. about tech.

    5. Environment*
        (a) Still aiming to buy as little as possible, at same time sell.
        (b) Some of the kitchen cupboards and wardrobe spaces to finalise
        (c)  Biggest job now is the office sort
        (d) Finish all the soft furnishing and decorating
        (e) Continue with the garden, changed mind from veg plot to wild flower bed.

    6. Creativity - art, sewing, social etc.
        (a) Plan more meet ups with friends and family - near, far and wide - started
        (b) Once craft room/office sorted, use it e.g. making cushions, painting etc. - started
        (c) Read lots (7 books read so far), and knit/crochet instead of snacking
        (d) Do a few of those social activities I keep on about - advanced driving, climbing

    7. Spiritual / Personal Growth / Inner Peace
Achieved by completing all the above - I think this is where 'life is something that happens while you're focussed on other things' - we'll see.

Well, a couple of frogs eaten today.  Not sure why we put these things off, they always seem simpler tasks than all the putting off merits

I've also rewritten my ToDo list on a clean page.  The first dated page is November 2021 - its a 'To Do List' book and there are now only four blank pages left.  I've still written up a full page of ToDo's, but they fit comfortably on the page rather than being crammed on.  I'm planning to eat a lot more frogs before the book is finished, so before Xmas if I do one review a month at the start of Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec.  Looking forward to starting the new year with a much shorter list and no book required.

Step 1 of the password updating and data deletion exercise is progressing well.  There are a couple of sites who won't delete my data without me giving them further data.  Its a bit of a PITA and another task on my list - its a lesson to think twice about signing up in the first place.  Step 2 is to go through the passwords which are highlighted as weak or re-used - I've not quite got the hang of allowing the password manager to create a random strong password so need to look into that.

I've also almost finished sorting the sign ups to TV and music.  Mr Shores and I are avid box set watchers and there's always something on a different subscription channel.  Saved a bit of £s just by pressing the cancel button.  I've also started the process of reclaiming my Sp0tify account, not having to listen to Mr Shores favourites is working out much better for me :).

I've just finished my lists for today and feeling much more organised, just got to get going now.  Maybe one more coffee on this lovely sunny morning...
