I have a Skoda Fabia, with the original Skoda cassette radio.

How easy would it be to replace the radio with a better one?
Would I have to take it to Skoda for it to be fitted..and how would I know if this would fit the gap?
Sorry, don't know anything about car radios.

Basically you will need to use a facia adapter to allow the fitting of a generic CD player, such as one under discussion.

Heres one for the Skoda (not sure its your version though)

One thing to bear in mid is that fitting a generic CD player can mean losing the use of CD remote controls, normaly as fitted to steering wheels and stalks on higher car models

Fitiing is quite straight forward, most modern cars use the standard ISO connections, usually a simple DIY job.

Argos have a JVC one available for £49.99. Item code 500/5732

that one doesnt have the sd and usb memory input though,

the closest i have found, is one from ebuyer http://www.ebuyer.com/product/131777

priced at short of 50 pounds, this does have the usb and sd card support, i find this much better than cds as it takes too long burning a new disc as opposed to dunking songs onto a memory card.

Edited to add: if google checkouts still offering 10 quid off orders over 30 quid, then you get it a tenner cheaper
