Co op Cashminder account / Current Account Switching Service

Evening all,
I opened a Co op Cashminder (basic bank account) five years ago, for the purpose of segregating my Matched Betting transactions from day to day expenditure.
Would it be possible to switch this into a standard First Direct current account, using CASS, to take advantage of the switching bonus (and access to the Regular Saver)?
TIA
