We’ve got 2 freezers, a full height and an under counter. I do the inventory on my iPad, it is 6 pages. I would need a very tall white board

Wow! I too have a freezer full of YS goodies but I cannot dedicate precious time to making a dynamic inventory when 2 eyes will doMnoee said:I keep the contents of my chest freezer in a database - it might be a bit much for some, but a spreadsheet or simple digital list would work too. If you're like me and have a tablet or phone with you most of the time, it's a free way of keeping track. I plan ahead and defrost the night before, so I update it all then.

This thread is better suited to the OS board I think. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Mine's almost all batch cooking, most of it stored in identical tubs. I took a picture last time the chest freezer was full that I've chucked at the bottom so you can see what I'm contending with - over 80 tubs with very few distinguishing features. If I didn't organise matching things together in bags and keep an inventory it would take me a solid hour to go through it all just to know whether there was a beef burger in here. (This is an old picture, I've since defrosted the freezer and I'm happy to report it currently contains far less frost and 6 beef burgers).Rosa_Damascena said:

It's probably because I'm reliant on home deliveries - I can't pop to the shops if I forget to buy mince. I have the choice of cashing in a favour, paying well over the odds at the corner shop or telling my partner he's going to have to eat falafel burgers. No yellow stickers for me either - that's why I cook almost everything myself.

That would be massive overkill for me as there are only 2 of us. I do, however vac pack everything so I get twice the amount in my one freezer and never have to worry about freezer burn.Murphybear said:We’ve got 2 freezers, a full height and an under counter. Anything I cook at home (soup / curry / casserole) is easily identifiable as I use plastic containers such as these:
