Where best to sell Old consoles/games

Options
I have an old xbox and ps2 in my cupboard with a number of games. I was wondering where is the best place to sell/trade these for the highest price? I paid loads for these and would like at least something back

Give them a good write up, and see what happens.

I'm not sure that's true as older stuff seems to goes for peanuts on ebay. I would be temped to try one of the shops like game or whoever does trade-ins to see what they will offer then see what stuff goes for on ebay and do a comparison, not forgetting the fees you have to pay on ebay too which can put a dent in things.
Nothing to see here, move along.
  • I've bought and sold quite a few ps2 games on ebay, but don't expect megabucks. Very new games seem to go for a reasonable price, as do games which are hard to buy via other means. Other stuff can go for a very low price. As pgilc1 says, make sure the advert is good, lots of ads are poor. Don't use stock photos, take your own, write a concise clear description, state the condition of the disc etc. Keep postage reasonable. On my ads I also state I would post within 24 hours of payment, people like to get stuff quick.

You won't get much back, Game or Gamestation are selling 2nd habnd original Xboxes for £20 so the price they will pay will be tiny. You usually get a better deal trading in against new games rather than selling them.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

Think I managed to sell my Mega Drive (and 32X) on ebay for about £20 about 18 months ago. Got decent money (relatively) for the games as well. TBH I'm having less and less confidence in ebay though, you have to be so so careful nowadays.
