Thanks for all your kind wishes. Another dreadful night. I've only just got up - 2 hours later than usual. Mr F brought me toast & coffee before he left for work so I've been resting & finishing my book.
Recently, I've read a lot of ignorant comments about covid on social media, arising when local regional newspaper websites have flagged up new varients. You know the kind of thing....."it's all a conspiracy for government control", "It's just a cold", etc, etc.....I'm thinking probably a strong overlap with roundabout flag-painters & climate conspiracy theorists. Thinking something does not make it true. Facts are important.
Well, I last had covid back in 2022. It felt worse than a cold but not as bad as flu. This time I feel much worse, despite not falling into any of the vulnerable categories or having other underlying health problems. Covid can still be nasty. It is well worth being aware that it is out there & most of us have quite a gap since our last vaccine. I only did a test because I felt too unwell for it to be a cold & wanted to rule out covid so I could then treat it as flu. I was surprised to test positive as there is really only one occasion I could have picked it up & that's at a local cafe on Sunday morning where the closest people I encountered were sitting at the next table. Germs however were clearly huffed in my direction & this is the result. Uuuurrrgggh!

Sorry you are so poorly hoping you have a much better day. I am in the vulnerable group so flu jab yesterday and covid jab in a couple of weeks. I must admit I wasn't sure about another covid one ( I am in double figures!) but after a recent tests decided not to tempt fate. I know you can still catch it but hopefully not as bad. Sending healing hugs xx3

I was so cross to find out that covid jabs are £80, no way I can afford that. Surely offering them to those who want them would save the economy money in the short run and the health service money in the long run. Hey ho.
Hope you start to feel a big improvement very soonhttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase
