The foxgloves are good this year. Self-seeded, therefore free!

2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!12 -
All the white & mauve sweet rocket around the back of this border also self-seeded. I just re-site the plants where I want them. The branches in the foreground are our old pear tree. Sorry the colours are a bit hazy. I took these pics on a sunny day & conditions were a bit too bright - unlike today!

Oh they look beautiful. Would so like some foxgloves, lupins and stocks in my garden but have sadly accepted I am not able to do the actual work involved still I am enjoying my greenhouse. Hope you are having a good day, it looks as if you have the sunshine afraid its lost its way to Lincolnshire x7

@Cheery_Daff - Thanks. I often intend to share garden & kitchen witchery photos, then usually forget to take any!

I did have the sunshine then, @Four_Seasons, but not today. I watched the weather map first thing & saw a great sheet of cloud come in from your direction! So far, it has produced one very short spell of drizzle & about 2 mins of what I would actually call 'rain'. It's chilly too. I think I was very optimistic when I went down to open the greenhouse earlier.
Re foxgloves - you only need to scatter the seed from a ripe salvaged seeding flower head or alternatively from a bought packet of seeds. Almost all of mine are self-seeded this year. The only ones which aren't are an apricot variety which I grew from some seeds saved by my friend. If you just sprinkled some seed this summer, you should have seedlings/young plants in autumn & they will be ready to flower next year.
