Any Databases for finding UK Accounts / Pensions / Insurances - for deceased relative?

Dear MSE Forum
My father recently passed away, and unfortunately his finances were not well organised.
He liked to move his savings around to get the best interest rates, but unfortunately did not keep good records.
Hence, as Executor, I am struggling to track down the details of his estate.
Therefore I am wondering if there are databases available which will allow our family to confirm my father’s estate, covering:
- Savings
- Pensions
- Insurance policies
This is a difficult time, and my family would appreciate any help you can provide.
Many Thanks
SSD

I'm sorry for your loss.I don't believe there is a database as such. There is this that enables people to track down lost bank accounts - they'll contact nominated banks and builsing societies and let you know if there is anything come backThere is also this that helps people track down contact details for unclaimed pensions, but you need to know the names of the past employers, and is probably not really what you are lookig for (a bank statement should show details of any pensions actually being claimed).

Gretel. See https://www.radiotimesmoney.com/news/paul-lewis/millions-are-owed-unclaimed-money-in-the-uk/
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!1 -
Worth knowing if your late father was manipulating money online, or doing things in person. If the latter, then statements will start arriving - I hope you've managed to redirect post. If he was doing things online, are you able to access his laptop / emails? There may be clues there.
I took my father's death certificate into a few banks where I suspected he had accounts and asked if they could confirm whether there were accounts, and ask for them to be closed. And this wasn't local to where he lived.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
is there a trail - ie can you find something where an account was closed or money paid out to be deposited somewhere else?0

I expect your father knew where his money was, and didn't see any need to keep paper records. Did he do the money moving online, on the phone or in person?
Either emails or phone records might provide clues, if you have access to them. Is your mother still living? She may know what channel he used, even if she doesnt know the account details.
Have you spoken to his current account provider, to see if they can help. Contact their bereavement service if you haven't already done so. Pensions would be paid into a current account.
