Good morning - please may I join? Am trying to abstain completely for the time being as was concerned that my alcohol intake was defintely getting into grey area drinking. I love wine and am reasonably knowledgable about it so was kidding myself a bit. A bottle on wine on one night in on my sofa isnt good, even if it's a nice French unoaked chardonnay (!). Am definitely not saying that this is forever, but certainly for now I'm enjoying a good, solid reset.
Am on day 46 so far, and both I and my bank account are feeling better for it.
So, can I set a target of 30/30 this month, and call 17/30 today? (Have I gotten this right?).
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
Sorry for going AWOL. I was meant to be on holiday but DH was unwell so we couldn't fly. He's improving now but I've been cheering myself up with a few drinks, nothing to excess but not AF either. My plan for this month is to get to my target, anything beyond that will be a bonus. 😉
@chemteacher78 hi chemteacher78
and welcome
to our lovely thread! I've added you to the list, best of luck with the challenge! Yes you have it right with 17/30 but as Rob says if you want to make your goal 29 then you can beat that target with the extra day in the month and get all of the emojis as a set, it's up to you
@maman also sorry to hear you had to miss your holiday and presumably some nice sunshine with it At least the UK has had some sunshine the last couple of days! Hope your husband recovers soon xx
@Season_of_Mist marahouti's husband had a cancer scare but was then found to be much better than expected so think she is focussing on family at the moment. She's been abstaining nearly every day though, she just doesn't post very often.
