Not sure why I forgot to post on Thursday. 🤔4 -
Good morning to all you booze Dodgers out there Both prolific and attempting. Today is 6 for me. On the band front, things are very quiet. Our main vocalist has throat problems and is seeing a specialist. So we won't be doing much until March. Disappointing for me because it's what I like to do but we have to look after people's health. That's all, my friends, more tomorrow! Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!4

Hi all, I have two friends who have already failed at Dry January. It does make me think that it is important to set goals that are achievable - for yourself. Much better to set a target that gives you some wriggle room so you don't have to give up within the first week - and beat yourself up about it. That's what I love about this thread - and it doesn't just last for January.! Anyhow, going to declare early today so 4/10 please @cathybird3

6/30 for me today please.
@oceandreamer you are so right that wriggle room is important, and it could be more beneficial to set a weekly goal at first. Or cut out one "routine" drinking day per week. After all, this is a "cutting down alcohol" thread as well as a "giving up alcohol" thread. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?4 -
Good afternoon everyone,
