Just checking in. I managed a whole month AF in August as I said I would. Full month so far for September too. Had a bit of an epiphany about (my own perception of) awkwardness around saying ‘no thanks’ to being offered a drink. If I don’t want a drink or plan not to, that’s up to me and I also realised that my recovery is something I am proud of. Drinking in some situations does let my guard down and in some situations has lead me to slip into what I no longer want in my or my family’s life.4

Good to hear from you alt80. Well done on remaining AF and not feeling awkward about refusing a drink. Your recovery is precious and you are rightly proud of what you have achieved for yourself and your family. Take care. Xalt80 said:Just checking in. Wow, thanks @alt80 this really spoke to me as I cave in rather than face the awkwardness then feel angry with myself for drinking when I don't want to. I've done this for the past few days...alt80 said:Just checking in. I managed a whole month AF in August as I said I would. Full month so far for September too.
