So ...
I did a previous thread about an item going to the US and stuck at Langley HWDC, after some comms, the buyer and I have assumed its lost, and he has opened an official INR and i wish to refund him. However, I assumed because we are on Managed Payments now, I would just click refund and they would take it from my current payouts and/or the same bank account as they send my payouts too (and I have done partial refunds in the past and have had no issues). But it won't process - some red bar at the top of the refund page with "Your Refund did not go through, please use a different payment option". So reading on I tried to add the debit card of the same MP bank account as a payment option under Accounts > Payments but that just hung the pop-up window for a few secs, then gave me a similair red bar whiuch said "We couldn't verfiy this card".
So back at the refund window I tried using my other CC thats on file, and thats the real kicker - it seems to start processing OK, then i get a Payment Authentication window with an unhighlighted radio button with my mobile number next to it and a blue NEXT button below that (which is also greyed out) - when i select the radio button the NEXT button highlights and I receive the passcode on my phone - only to discover the PA window has shut and the same red bar message at the top of the refund page - there was no option to enter the passcode i received! Done this a few times now. Same results. I obviously want to do this refund officially as i want my fees back (£300 item) and the buyer should also get his sales tax refunded. But its making ne gnash my teeth! Any suggestions - I guess i'll have to speak to someone at ebay?

Yeah, I had already tried that, I even tried a different browser but with no luck. Today, i tried the online chat and eventually managed to get thru to a person who was able to simply take the refund from the Managed Payments account - as I tried to do originally - done and dusted in about 3 mins with no issues! Why the hell it wouldnt let me do it trying two diff payment methods on the ebay site i'll never know.
