Morning! Raining! Surprise! Went out last night in an impromtu fshion for a firends irthday, ended up cming home at 2 in the moring then stayed up to 4 with OH playing games. It was a good night, and I wasn't that drunk but i was still shocked at nearly a fiver a pint. Today we are out for lunch for a friends birthday and tonight we will probably be staying in and drinking all the booze i seem to have accumulated over the last month.

Enjoy your incipient new years everyone, thoughts to the poorly, enjoy the thought of new beginnings..And this is the last one of the month, thank you for your caroly words of suport, let's hope tru returns triumphantly to do this next year...Thanks for all your support during the year, I wish you all a future better next year.

So many in the poorly ward I've been busy signing off sick notes here!

My outside adventure was very brief and productive, all the recycling material has been stuffed into the big blue containers and I whizzed straight home. I've stripped the bed and done the fortnightly wrestle with the duvet. It's got the winter layer on so it's just a bit more difficult to sort out, roll on Spring.

Taff - thanks for the final song, it's a lovely song.  Here's my favourite version of it sung by Paoli Nutini, I send this out to my friends every year! 

Whatever you all do, and whoever you do it with, I wish you a very Happy Hogmanay and a wonderful 2023.  May it bring health and happiness to all.  Thank you for being part of keeping me sane.  I love this wee corner of the internet, a haven in a world of madness.

Thanks for the song taff, and Gers. I love Paolo Nutini too so off to look at the edited version now, though the interview one was good.

 We've ended up ordering a new washer, as this mornings messing with it gets us no nearer. Hopefully can click/collect on the 3rd!

Evening all. a very late one from me
Well a day of 2 parts. Quite dry this morning. The boy had decided to chew the stable door so all hands to the pumps. Fixed it with a big metal strip, and some foul tasting gobbo ( its very bitter)
And then it rained - biblically
It was Ds birthday today. we gave him a clematis and a Marshalls grow pack...good value and will give him something to do!!
Still struggling with the lurgy but thankfully Mrs m has been carrying the workload. Bless her. I do feel quilty though
