Just an end of year vent.

I had need to telephone BT's helpline this afternoon regarding an ongoing broadband problem I have and in all the times I've every spoken to customer service advisors from many companies, this is the first time I've ever had to hang up on them

The assistant I was trying to get help from was obviously working from home as all I could hear was screaming children (and I mean really screaming with that high pitched wail that goes right through your head). They were so loud they must have been very close to the phone.

I explained twice that I couldn't hear him properly due to the background noise but on both occasions, he made no attempt whatsoever to calm the children down and in the end I simply stated that I would have to hang up and try to speak to a different agent and he didn't seem bothered in the slightest.

I intend to submit a complaint to BT, not that I expect it to make any difference in the future.
