Hi.

I sent a PS5, unopened, back to Very two weeks ago and received a text to say they had it last Friday - 23rd. The text said it was being checked in line with the approval guarantee.  As there was an issue with the returns information I was a bit concerned so called them today to check progress.

I was told I had to wait until after 12th January for it to be credited back to my account, even though their terms state up to 14 days after receiving and this would be 20 days. I get we’ve had Christmas and New Year but taking nigh on a month, which is what it will be, seems excessive. Is there anything I can do to kick them into gear and speed the process up. My next statement will have been produced by then too, so will have to wait until the statement after that to be reflected fully.

Thanks.

Highly unlikely there is anything you can do. Making a return at this time of year is always likely to incur delays, their processing of returns probably does not even start again until 3rd January, they are likely in storage at the moment. I do not really see how the statement matters.

Sit tight and let the process the refund, you can either make lots of phone calls and it will happen on 12/01, or you can do nothing and it will happen on 12/01, personally the latter sounds a lot less hassle.

So they have had  it 3 working days and that's if you include today.
You could keep chasing them up and wasting your time  as no doubt there will be in with many other returns.
