Hi. My Mum is older and doesn’t have Wi-Fi ect. Nor does she want to. Today she has phoned Talk Talk about renewing her contract. They have told her she needs an email address on the account, or she can’t have Talk Talk (she’s only got a landline) They’ve said it’s not them, it’s required by Ofcom. Has anyone else heard this? I can’t see anything online about it.
Thanks

The point is, it won’t be my mum’s email it’ll be mine.It just seems an odd thing for a company to do! Not everyone is online0

I created one specifically for my father (who doesn't use e-mail or have internet at home, but does use a tablet at work).
Now he's got a smartphone he has this e-mail account going directly to his phone, however the e-mail address pre-dates this by several years. It may be worth doing something similar as required, especially as more and more services are now online.💙💛 💔0 -

Not everyone is onlineProbably paperless requirement.Anyway an email address isn't a bad thing to have. Since more and more and more is done online these days the hand will be forced at some point.0
