What are my Consumer Rights?

I am trying to get help with my consumer rights when buying a product from Currys.
Went into store on Tuesday and ordered a Samsung Soundbar to be delivered into store, as this item was out of stock online (was told 2-3weeks delivery). The next day we get a phone call saying our product is ready to collect.
We arrived at the Burnley store and realised the display model was no longer on show and they have packed this product up for us to take away.
I did not agree for a ex-display/second hand product but yet they have tried to fob me off with this which we paid full price. What are my consumer rights please? What should I do? We have already put down £200 deposit.

What did they say when you told them you don't want it because you know it's a display model?0

They tried telling me it wasn’t an ex-display model but I realised the package has been tampered with (broken seals). We are going back into store today as we are not happy with their service, wasting our fuel and time.0

So you accepted the purchase in-store and have later changed your mind? That might prove tricky. You can't claim they've wasted your fuel and time when you willingly took it away knowing it was a display model. The time to reject it was before you took it home. The best angle to take is that having asked whether it was the display model, if they said no and you can show they lied, then the contract should be cancelled.0

They have a 21 day change of mind returns policy in store so if you dont want it then tell them and get the refund - this assumes you havent reopened it.1
