Morning All
Ruby hope you are still resting and TA hope you are starting to feel better
Nels hope you feel better soon as well
DH has been unwell through the night his snoring was worse than usual and now he sounds quite chesty, have left him in bed. We were going to friends tonight but have sent a text to postpone.
Gers another here full of good intentions that haven't quite made it yet
Taff thank you again for the carols
Scarlett well done on the tidying I need to still sort out mine as I still have to decide whether to keep some of Ddads kitchen bits and pieces or mine
Snoozer glad the family are all doing well and try some you time when they go to Yorkshire
Its my DD's birthday today the years fly by so quickly and she children of her own.
Have been reading along daily but haven't felt the joy so much for Christmas this year I think mainly as missing Ddad. Also still trying to get the house sold and start a new life in a new area has left me in a sort of limbo at the moment, hopefully the mood will improve in the New year. Sorry for bringing the thread down.
Have a good Thursday all (another one who needs to check her diary daily now to check on the day!)

Not posted on the daily thread for ages - been so busy with the Salvation Army. We have this week off and I am thinking of having the next off too.
Middle Son popped by - kept well away from him as he had flu and is still coughing.
Lost a good friend Chris last week - unexpected - he was 2 days older than Mr F. I spotted Chris's sunglasses in the hall bookcase this morning - he left them here when he fixed a plumbing issue some months ago - kept forgetting to return them to him. Funeral is middle of next month.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Hello everyone - I'm late again!
I went down to DDs this morning to see little one's presents from Santa, then DD brought us back up to my house at lunchtime. We've had a lovely afternoon playing with her pirate ship and pirates, wooden ice cream set and lego - she's very impressed at having 'big girl' lego - my brother bought her it for Christmas. I made a rather good crocodile who then terrorised the poor pirates!
She was at the hospital yesterday for an endoscopy so hadn't had the best of days - the consultant thinks her original operation on her stomach is still intact, but there may be a problem with her esophagus - he'll see her again in a couple of months. I wanted her to have an afternoon of lovely play today.
Had a good day out at Edinburgh yesterday though it rained all day. We both got a few bargains in the sales - DD more than me! I had a book voucher from my nephew which I really enjoyed spending in Waterstones. Our 'wizard experience' however was rather disappointing - not at all as it was advertised though the food was delicious. We started off feeling sorry for the waiter as they were so short staffed but then he was very rude to us - after completely forgetting about us and the table next to us - DD is sending an email to complain as it was quite expensive. We did have a good laugh about it though.
Sorry I did read back but I've forgotten what you all said!
Nels - hope you're feeling better x
Nice to see you Florenceem - sorry to hear about your friend x7
