Warning!
There is a website copying Ted Baker. Be careful if you are shopping with them on line. The genuine site is called Tedbaker.com The fake site is called Tedbakerclothing.com it’s a copy of their website with all the pictures of Ted Baker Clothes. You will not know that you have bought from the wrong site until you have made payment. I know this as it happened to me last night. I chose clothing and added to bag then went through checkout and paid by PayPal with my credit card. When I looked at my emails for the order acknowledgement there was only an email from PayPal requesting payment of an invoice with some Chinese writing so I checked my paypal account to look for the payment to Ted Baker but it just showed a payment to someone called Yang Wang. Please believe me this is true. Thankfully I paid through PayPal via the website with my credit card so I am covered but if I had paid by the PayPal email I may never have recovered my funds. I have contacted. PayPal, Barclaycard and Action Fraud and also reported the fake website to Action Fraud. Sadly this website called Tedbakerclothing.com is still showing on line so there may be a lot of people getting scammed. You will never know this website is fake until you have paid for any goods ordered. I have also tried to contact Ted Baker by telephone and email but no response so I called Ted Baker at the designer outlet who are now aware of this fake website. Please spread the word to save anyone from being scammed.

It looks very suspect. There is no address listed on the contact us page and the spelling and grammar is not good. At the bottom it mentions Vivienne Westwood and Louis Vuitton
Come on you Irons2 -
Sorry you got caught out, but it is a pretty poor website with so many red flags even on the home page.
Claims to be an outlet store, so not the real Ted Baker right at the top, just below social media links which only got to the main sites and not Ted Baker pages (Google Plus as a social media site shut down a long while).
The section headings don't even fit in a line across the top and the payment icons at the bottom are a very poor quality image.
Domain registration is also a good indicator. For future knowledge, put in the domain at https://who.is/ to see who the site is registered to. A site registered to something like hichina.com is unlikely to be genuine for a fashion brand.Domain Name: tedbakerclothing.com Registry Domain ID: 2532412837_DOMAIN_COM-VRSN Registrar WHOIS Server: grs-whois.hichina.com Registrar URL: http://www.net.cn Updated Date: 2022-05-05T00:59:46Z Creation Date: 2020-05-31T14:52:08Z Registrar Registration Expiration Date: 2023-05-31T14:52:08Z Registrar: Alibaba Cloud Computing (Beijing) Co., Ltd. Still worth calling it out, so thanks for that.1 -
If one didn’t know this was a fake site, I feel most people wouldn’t look for the anomalies, they would just look for the clothing to buy. There are many people like myself who are not tech savvy that wouldn’t think to check the domain name but this experience certainly has made me more aware.

That is why I said thanks for calling it out. Some people wouldn't notice it, but it is not actually a very good fake site.
If I had come across that site in general browsing, before purchasing I would have looked for the basic clues as i do for all sites I use for the first time and there are many red flags on that home page that would have stopped me from buying from there.
Hopefully you now have some clues as to what to look for and a way to check in the future, which is why I posted.
Sorry you got caught out, but kudos in doing something about it and reporting it to the authorities and on here.0 -
It's always sad to hear that someone has been caught out by fake websites.
Years ago, it was UGG and Dr Marten.
The genuine UGG website even had a list of authorised retailers, but that didn't stop fakes being sold.
I always look at the information in 'about us' and delivery and return information.
There's some pretty poor English on the 'shipping & returns' page as well as a spelling mistake right on the home page:
"30 Day Tght To Return"
How did you find this website?
The genuine website is first in my Google search.
Always helpful to have a reminder to be careful about ordering online.0 -
I am with virgin media and my safe search settings are on (by default) so I can’t even get to that site. It says “this site has been blocked as we think it’s fraudulent or contains viruses”

Also be careful as using credit card on PayPal can break the section 75 on purchases of £100 or over with credit card and paypal0

If you take delivery then you option with Paypal is SNAD (significantly not as described). This will mean you have to post the items back to the seller and show delivery evidence.0 -
