Fast track reclaim

We are being harassed constantly regarding a £500 that Quickly finance t/a fast track finance day we owe. They have emailed a copy of a letter of authority which is fraudulent. They are asking for the payment because we haven’t sent a final decision letter from Barclays. We have never had an account with Barclays and as such never had any PPI. I have told them this but they still keep threatening us with legal action.
We have sent registered letters to them asking for disclosure of any information & we have sent letters of complaint
Anyone else gone through this and come out the other end
thanks in advance

Yes, lots, but that's not important right now.
Hopefully your registered letters were SARs. Or at least one of them. Next time, don't send them registered.

Yes we requested a detailed list of data they hold on us & given them 30 days to respond. Also a letter of complaint. My husband sent copies of each to the 3 companies.0

Ps
why shouldn’t we send them registered0 -
Less chance of them being received and a waste of money.
If you need proof of postage, it's free.1 -
I was hoping to have contact with someone who is going through the same trauma, who knows what happens next & also anyone who is suffering the same harassment
Thanks in advance1 -
This may be a good place to start
I work in Data Protection and spend my days dealing with CMC's. Only here trying to help!!1 -
Its less of an issue with companies receiving lots of mail but in theory they are asked to sign for the letter to be delivered. If they are in a dispute with someone they can refuse to sign and so royal mail cannot deliver it. When the matter then goes to court they can legitimately state they never received it and there will be evidence from RM to prove they didnt.Tericrouse said:Ps

1st Class post is assumed to be delivered within 2 business days and its very hard for them to prove that they didnt receive it unless you sent it to the wrong address or such.1 -
My case with QF is currently with a solicitor. It would be good to exchange notes.0
