In reality most companies just write it off as wastage but some, and particularly smaller ones, will pursue you for the debt given you've now got the goods and havent paid for them. There are many stories on here of a chargeback win coming through and a few weeks latter a letter before action to take them to court.
Just because a bank has decided to reverse the payment doesnt mean you have escaped the contract, just means the onus is now on the merchant to collect the debt. You'd often be long beyond the timescale to return the goods depending on the actual background of the chargeback by the time the bank's processes have concluded.1 -

In practice the cost of sending multiple items together is not normally 3x the cost of one return and so for easy life merchants may just pay for the full return given they are already incurring the cost for the picking error.1
