I send a single free entry route to each of these type of competitions. It costs a second class stamp and an envelope from a bulk buy packet. I save my £2 and apparently I have the same chance of winning?1

Yep, just as good a chance as spending £2 per entrylovetowinacar said:I send a single free entry route to each of these type of competitions. It costs a second class stamp and an envelope from a bulk buy packet. I save my £2 and apparently I have the same chance of winning?1 -
With current stamp prices at 68p just for one second class entry, I don't personally see that as a 'Free' entry, even if that's what ITV call it!!

Post is the free entry route sanctioned by Parliament so it is appropriate for any company offering it to state it is the free entry routeJoolski said:With current stamp prices at 68p just for one second class entry, I don't personally see that as a 'Free' entry, even if that's what ITV call it!!

you can win up to £100,000 with some of the ITV comps so 68p is better than £2 + phone call charge.Joolski said:With current stamp prices at 68p just for one second class entry, I don't personally see that as a 'Free' entry, even if that's what ITV call it!!
I do it just for fun and whatever I win is a bonus1 -
Shame Parliament don't pay for my stamps then - then I'd call it free! But now, when a book of 8 x 2nd class stamps cost £5.44 it's no joke, so I have to pick and choose the comps I enter.mjm3346 said:

Web entry was potentially not "Universal" enough as not everyone has the internet and "free" means no charge on top of the basic service cost so effectively no money paid to the company running the competitionJoolski said:

Web
"it is not sufficient that the alternative route costs nothing for those who use it."
