Scottish ADP vs UK PIP

I have to say, as a first time applicant, I was dreading applying for ADP after reading the experiences people have with PIP.

That’s it fully rolled up here so I applied in August. Took about an hour to complete the application online, I had a zoom call to confirm my ID that week then another call to confirm my GP could share my info 2 weeks ago. Money appeared in my account last week backdated to August. That was it!! I also got enhanced for one and basic for the other. I was stressing about not getting anything!

Anyone else had similar after moving from PIP rather than a first time ADP application?

I live in England and so don't have the experience of switching over to ADP but I have read that the experience is quite a positive one. The form that needs completing looks more comprehensive than the PIP form and the inclusion of pictures as an aide is a good idea.
The move away from the PIP system to ADP has been designed to be as straightforward as possible but I do wonder if its design may be too costly in the long run if a lot more poeple receive ADP than would have got PIP, even if the criteria is supposed to be the same for both benefits.

Maybe dealing with it in-house with Social Security Scotland rather than outsourcing to ATOS/GS4/whoever they use saves a chunk. Plus the feed-though indirect economic savings of having healthy people spending in the economy. Similar to universal free prescriptions being cheaper than the complex charging structure/exemptions etc in England

I would imagine that the number of claimant's in Scotland compared to the rest of the UK also helps a lot in terms of a faster outcome.
