moss growing on brick work

I have moss repeatedly growing on brick work on the outside of my house and i've cleaned it off a few times. Water at times comes out of a overflow pipe - see video.
I think the water is hitting the ground and splashing on the brickwork causing moss to grow back.

btw it looks like the damp proof course is at the top of the 2nd row of bricks.

Any advice?

Fix the ballcock in the header tank to stop water coming out of the overflow. It could be a sticking valve, or the cover may have slipped and is pushing down on the float.
Also clean out the gutter and make sure the downpipe isn't blocked.

I've had 2 occasions of water affecting walls.
One was a dripping overflow causing plants to grow lifting tiles then the gutter backflowing into the brickwork.
Cost £8 for a new washer in toilet cistern. Should have done it sooner.
2nd new house rainwater dripping off sill from patio doors remained in the gravel soaking the bricks through winter.
Dug out gravel, scraped out loose mortar dried out and replaced. Horrible job but not difficult.
New patio doors the sill still does this so winter i lodge something to stop the water settling by the wall.
Try placing boards from path to wall to prevent splash back. Wait for dry weather and remove to dry out then restore.
Meantime deal with whatever is causing the water to puddle and splash.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

i actually had the ball valve replaced about 4 months ago. I'm going to ask the guy that did it for me to have a look.

In the mean time i'll see where i can buy some boards to place against the wall to protect the brick work
