SL Repayments via Self Assessment

Hi all,
I've been paying my student loan for years via PAYE, but have done some additional consultancy so had to fill out a tax return and make a payment via self assessment. I paid of my balance about three weeks ago. It's showing as paid in my Government Gateway account, but the student loan element hasn't yet been deducted from my student loan balance.
Is that unusual? Do I just need to be more patient or do I need to chase them up?
Cheers.

Always slow. I know they used to only adjust balances once a year, not sure if that has improved. Unless you are near the end of your student loan And it impacts on future payments I wouldn’t worry too much.

I'm expecting a decent payment outside of PAYE in March which I was going to use to pay off the rest of the debt, so as long as it's adjusted by then so I can now what I have to pay then it's fine.
With my monthly PAYE payments the balance adjusts a few days after payday, which is why this delay is a bit troubling.0
