Citroen C4 electric : stuck charging cable

My Citroen is currently glued to a BP charging terminal. Does anyone know if it has a manual charging point release?

BP should be able to release it if you call them

I'm intrigued did you disconnect your vehicle?

Sometimes simply plugging it back into the car then removing it again can trigger the post to release the cable. It's worth trying to (counterintuitively) push the cable hard into the post because, if it's been pulled, it can jam the locking pin in place. However BP posts do sometimes refuse to release the cable and it sometimes requires a call to their support line. Never trust a fossil fuel company when it comes to EVs.
  • I think I watched a video where this happened to an MG on a charger.
The guy carries a 13mm spanner in the car to disconnect the 12v battery.
    This unlocked the pin.
    Could be wrong.

Really?  Which companies have the infrastructure in place to roll out EV charging sites which are lacking?
