Playing old style Binatone

I have a retro Binatone Mk IV game - obviously back in the day, it would be connected to an old analogue tv via the aerial port and the game would appear on screen.
I now have a new tv but when I connect the Binatone to it via the aerial port, it doesn’t appear to recognise it.
I’ve tried scanning for analogue channels whilst the Binatone is turned on and connected but still nothing.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can get it to work?

there are several youtube videos on how to get it to work
If your tv supports analogue channels and your scan does not pick it up then it may be faulty.0 -
It picks up a weak signal but it’s not clear and jumps all over the screen. Fine tuning doesn’t rectify it.I’ve googled and we’ve searched on the suggested channel 36 which is commonly used for retro gaming but this is all we’ve managed to find.
It’s obviously working as we can find the hint of a picture but I’m not sure how to find the optimum channel.
Should we just keep trying searching on every channel?0 -
Yes, try that, although it could be faulty and not putting out much RF signal
If you have an analogue TV signal.booster you could try that

Is you aerial fly lead in good connection, and is it secure in the binatone and the telly aerial socket?
