Positive responce from carpark owner

Hey peeps, thought I'd just share a result of a little interaction I had with a woman who lives overlooking the Stennack Car Park in St. Ives, Cornwall, which I know quite a few people have posted about on here.
I've been doing work on and off in a apartment building in St. Ives for the last year and twice I've been unfortunate enough to fall foul of the parking services who manage the land. Once when I let a ticket lapse by 7 minutes before renewing for a few hours and another in a double dip senario which was sorted out directly with the management company. This last occation I was mean to meet a roofer at the property and I was running late, I forgot about putting a ticket on the vehicle until I was up in the loft space and about half an hour had passed. I popped a ticket on the vehicle and then later that month was chatting with one of the residents in the apartments and I said I had recieved an NTK for £100 and she told me to leave my details with her and she'd see what she could do. Ten minutes later she came back and said it was all sorted. She'd called the owner and told him what had happened and apparently he'd looked up my details, called the management company and told them to wipe my slate clean. Apparently they weren't too happy and suggested they reduce it to £60 (which is what I'd have to pay anyway if I did it within 14 days or whatever) but he wanted it all wiped seeing as I've put about £800 though his carpark in the last year.

I know I was pretty lucky to have had this sorted so easily and like it says in the newbies thread, it's always worth contacting the owner of the land if you have the means.

Very good! Thanks for posting.
Proves again that PLAN A (as stated in the NEWBIES thread - landowner complaint) is always the first step. At any time, even late.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
