Premium Bonds

I have a 0 balance in my Premium Bonds account. I previously bought and sold £200 worth but this was years ago. I want to purchase bonds and I noticed something strange. It stated I was allowed to purchase between £25 and £40 000. I thought the limit was £50 000. Just curious.

The max holding is indeed £50,000.
Where were you told it's £40,000? Are you sure you are on the proper NS&I site?1 -
I am on the proper site and there is multiple authentication. Then when I go onto the page to buy bonds, it states between £25 and £40,000.0

Could be your looking at an older version of the NS&I website (pre-2015) as that is when the limit changed.

It is the actual site I logged into, so should have the most up to date info on it. The point is that error does not bode well.0

Is it this part of the screen where you are seeing the maximum of £40k?
