Virgin.net username

I signed up to NTL (now virgin) BB.

Does anyone know how i can check my username for virgin.net?

I dont recall being send a username or being prompted to set one up when Virgin tookover NTL. And i dont remember if i ever had a NTL username.

If you know your password, you can try and login to the selfhelp section with your email address.

I've tried every possible combination but to no avail.

any ideas on how i can obtain a Virginmedia email account? (i cant update my services account before signing into the service??). also, is it possible to set this up if i am not using my home's broadband connection (as the bb connection in my place is still down).

i have tried using the NTL boradband installation cd (to get another ntlworld.com email address), but it wouldnt run on my computer as I am using a new laptop, and the Operating System's language is Italian. The cd gives an error message saying that the language of my Operating System is not compatible witht he installation CD.
