Paying Avios BC with Pre-paid Avios card

Hello all,
has anyone found a workaround to be able to pay their Barclaycard with a BA Prepaid Avios Mastercard?
the prepaid card doesn’t work with app/online payment as an error comes up saying it is not a UK debit card…..even though all my other CC providers accept it.
The reason for this is to earn double bubble with Avios points…
thanks in advance and Merry Christmas to all! 🎄

If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

I’ve seen other people report issues with paying their bc using debit Mastercards so I don’t think it’s just that card.

Use it to top up another account that can be used to pay the bill. Have you tried Revolut?1

I fell out with Revolut so won't be using them! I have found that NS&I accept online debit card payments from the BA Prepaid card in to the instant access saver / premium bonds account so I guess this is something but it is technically cash recycling which is what I wanted to avoid ideally. It baffles me that multiple other CC providers are happy to accept the card yet BC won't....The only solution I have found so far is to spend on the BC, then if there is an 0% BT fee offer (which I get fairly regularly) with Vanquis, to BT a balance across and pay the Vanquis card off with the BA prepaid card. Around the houses though! If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

Maybe they have cottoned onto the double bubble points haul & put a block on it via the card prefix.Life in the slow lane0
